How Do I Qualify For The Special Price?

To qualify for this special price you must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Live within the Portland Metro Area
  • Have existing windows that are more than 15 years old (see below)
  • Agree to a brief presentation and free, no obligation quote for window replacement

If there is any doubt, simply schedule the test, and our BPI certified technician will make the final determination before beginning the testing process.


How Does This Work?

We believe strongly that information is the key to solving our nation's energy consumption crisis.  The Home Performance with Energy Star test is a comprehensive and scientific method of measuring your home's efficiency, and identifying leading sources of home energy waste.  The new rebate currently offered by the Energy Trust of Oregon allows us to offer this test at the same price as the rebate, resulting in a zero net cost to you.  We are taking a loss to provide this service at this price, with the hope that some homeowners will replace their windows within the next year.  However, we do not engage in any high pressure sales tactics.  Our role is simply to provide information, and have faith that some homeowners will choose to act upon it.


Is This Only For Windows?

Absolutely Not!  In fact the test itself takes a very comprehensive approach.  We will be testing all areas of your home's energy performance, and identifying those that need correction.  We will provide a window quote automatically, and upon request we can have one of our trade allies provide a quote for any of the following: 

  • Insulation
  • Air sealing
  • Duct Sealing
  • Furnace Replacement


What Does The Test Involve?

It typically takes 3-4 hours, and involves the use of specialized diagnostic equipment.  It includes a visual and physical inspection of your home's windows, insulation, ducts, HVAC, major appliances, and other factors contributing to air leaks and other sources of heat loss.  This data is entered into sophisticated analytical software that will produce a detailed report.  This report will provide values of existing conditions, a prioritized list of recommendations for improvement, and projections of likely energy savings for each potential project. 


How Does The Rebate Work?

As part of our service, we will fill out and submit the appropriate paperwork.  Your rebate check should arrive within 6-8 weeks, and we will assist with any follow up necessary to insure receipt of your rebate.
